We’ve been itching to get onto Bside (Trailfairy Plan) at Glentress for months to do some repair work. Chuffed we’re going to be there at our Saturday 6 April session as part of Take Care of Your Trails 2019! Jobs will include widening ruts, reducing pedal catches, clearing out loose fill and shaping catches. . Fancy helping out? We’d love to see you! New volunteers are very welcome, no experience needed. Tools, protective kit and training are provided. Please bring clothes you don’t mind getting mucked up, sturdy boots, waterproofs, food and drinks. U12’s will need to be accompanied at the session by a parent/guardian, U18’s will need a parent/guardian to sign them in at the start of the session. We’ll be meeting at 9am at the Upper Overflow car park at Glentress, finishing up back at the car park for 1pm. Any volunteers who can take their own vehicles up to site and give others a lift too always really helps with logistics and is massively appreciated by us! We’ll be parking at the exit of Bside and the forest roads out to here are in good condition. Being a fairly committing, steep section of trail to ride and to help keep everyone safe, Bside will be closed from ~0930 to ~1245 whilst we’re working on it. This session is the first of three we’ll be doing as part of Take Care of Your Trails 2019! Other dates are Sat 20 April and Sat 4 May at Innerleithen. More on these soon! Cheers!
